A well spent day
Have you ever thought about going out one morning or afternoon, on a family walk in the company of migratory birds, taking your children, nephews, mother, father, grandparents and visiting the lagoons in Sesimbra!
Well, that's what you read. It is a natural space between bamboo trees and fascinating paths, where you can charge your batteries and at the same time with your family, in particular, the “kids” will breathe fresh air, walk and jump and observe some migratory birds coming from the Northern Hemisphere
In recent years, interest in Birdwatching has been growing, not only for the leisure of enjoying open spaces, as well as greater awareness of the environmental preservation of ecosystems involving bird species and the pressures on migratory movements due to climate change. This phenomenon of climate change has been the subject of study by ornithologists regarding changes in the migratory behavior of birds.
According to SPEA – Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds, that space hosts schools where students become more aware of the environmental importance of these ecosystems. They observe and record different species of birds, in addition to being able to take fantastic photos
Returning to the conversation, one of the reasons for taking a walk with the family around these lakes that host migratory birds is the fact that these walks contribute in a positive way to health, according to the University of Exeter, in the UK through a study published in 2017. Although dedicated to cities, the study concluded, that bird observations help reduce depression, anxiety and stress.
So, you already know that it only depends on your desire to visit this welcoming, open, natural space and to surrender to the world of birds.
